In Greenport Village, the only extant L-shaped Italianate is the wonderfully maintained Wells House, built around 1859. You can travel back in time to the Victorian era by visiting this well-known Italianate beauty, which is situated in the center of the community.
Only a handful of days a year are designated for the opening of this serene, luxurious private residence.
The nicest parts of the historic Village of Greenport are all within easy walking distance of Wells House.
